EDUCATION

Cremorne offers a range of educational and cultural events and experiences covering religious observance, Israel, tikkun olam, Jewish history, film, music, and much more.

Shiurim are held every Saturday morning before the Shabbat service and a d’var torah takes place at the Shabbat mincha service each week. The Rabbi holds series of shiurim at other times , where participants can either attend in person or access via Facebook.

Cremorne Synagogue has a close relationship with the United Israel Appeal, and the UIA shaliach or CEO attends the synagogue a few times a year to give updates on the current situation. Cremorne is also a venue for the Melton programme, now run out of the University of Sydney, which organises lecture series on a fascinating range of topics.

Cultural events are frequently organised, with distinguished guest speakers. We also hold film showings, communal dinners, cooking demonstrations, whisky tastings and much more.

Many of our members are actively involved in communal organisations, such as UIA, JCA, Technion Society, NSW Board of Deputies, Shalom College, etc , whose events are always well-attended by members of Cremorne Synagogue.
